You’re not really a size 10

Just read a very entertaining article in the NY Times about how sizes have
grown larger over the years. I was bewildered by the reports of so many women
on this list that all of a sudden they’re in a 12 or 14 when they’re still
over 200 pounds. I wore a 12 when I was 23 and weighed 130. I couldn’t
figure it out. Well, it seems women don’t want to look into their closets and
see 16s, 18s and 20s. Voila–smaller numbers for larger clothes. The article
said Marilyn Monroe, who supposedly wore a 14 back then, would fit into
today’s size 8.
